CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
I am currently seeking engaging, personal stories for an upcoming print anthology that celebrates wild spaces in the Comox Valley. I’m looking for impactful, non-fiction narratives that explore the sublime, mysterious, provocative, or awe-inspiring forces which inhabit the untamed world.
Stories must have a maximum word count of 3000 words. Each story must be set in a specific location -- like a trail, lake, or stretch of shoreline – situated within the Comox Valley.
Submissions can be comedic, spooky or thought-provoking, but they must have a powerful sense of place. I hope to create an anthology that inspires readers to cherish our surrounding wild spaces, shift perspectives on our relationship with nature, or fall in love with the land around us.
Deadline for submission is October 30, 2023. All submissions must have a clear relationship to the theme and be submitted as an attached document in 12pt Times New Roman. Email cover letter and document to Kim Bannerman at kim (at) kbannerman (dot) com.
